We offer an introductory overview of extraction techniques. We'll discuss how regulation, budget, scale, desired products, and other variables affect the decision-making process when selecting the best methodologies for your company. We will first help with general understanding, then hone in on specific considerations brought forth by students. Finally, we will perform a terpene extraction on Lavender to demonstrate the collection of essential oils from plant material.
We offer an inside look as to how industry leaders perform their processes, as well as in-depth explanations of the "how" and "why" these methodologies work. Anyone can watch videos online, read through exceptional dissertations of methodologies, or even utilize the plethora of knowledge in social media to learn about the processes of distillation. However, this often leaves users with questions that are not easily answered, as well as potential misinformation. Our instructors do not hold back any information, and have the ability to answer just about any question regarding the chemistry, methodology, or products created during our processes.

Course Info
This course compiles research by some of the leading researchers such as Dr. Raphael Mechoulam, PhD and Dr. Mark Scialdone, PhD as well as previously completed research by GW Pharmaceuticals to create a pathway of how change from inside the plant all the way through various extraction and refinement techniques. This compilation of knowledge and research allows us to understand more about the neurological, biological, and metabolic nature of .
"I was impressed with the instructors' ability to connect with students who do not have a chemistry background. The class was very comprehensive, I would go again as I’m sure I would learn even more the second time."
"Fundamentals and good analytics on EliteLab®. Appreciate Bryan, Mike and, Caleb (and all else involved) A+ team."
"Not only theory, but hands-on training, SOPs, plus the meals were a nice touch. Outstanding."
We deliver a true process education experience from instructors who are leaders in the space. Most courses focus on theory instead of process education and refinement. We also include SOPs and follow-up time.
The Introduction to Extraction is more focused on the different types of extraction and the theory behind them. The Fractional Distillation and Cannabinoid Chemistry & Isolation courses are process-focused and include step-by-step demonstrations of those processes.
Both! We tailor the course's content to our participants, so everyone from beginners to experienced professionals can benefit from ERS classes. We've had many students who come to our courses with specific processes they are trying to improve on or make more efficient.
Yes, our courses are usually made up of lab directors, business owners, and entrepreneurs. Many of our students have started successful companies after the courses, sometimes with fellow students. Some of these companies have become leaders in the industry and have had strategic exits. We also take our course members out to dinner so networking can occur in a less formal setting - some really good discussions always arise at these meals with really valuable information!
We make sure the course site is expertly cleaned prior to each event. We are currently offering reduced course sizes to keep social distancing to a maximum. We also have a student tracking and check-in process that maintains safe conditions for everyone.
Private courses are also available at our lab/classroom, and they can be one-on-one or include 4 other employees (5 total).
We have a few different discount opportunities for you to take advantage of. We offer early bird, multi-course, and group discounts. Contact us for more details and specific rates.
Unfortunately, we cannot allow students to perform processes during our courses. In the courses we host, instructors actively perform the processes while students watch.
If you are interested in a hands-on experience, we recommend inquiring about our or in-person training options (which take place at your own facility).
